One of the reasons the Rolleikin was the most popular accesory for the
Rollei TLRs cameras during their "golden age" was the fact you could use
new color films available for 35mm only. The Rollei TLR becomes a high
quality 35mm camera with the adapter (the horizontal format comfortability
is a different story) and then, if you were a regular 120 film user at the
time, it was not necessary a second camera for some occasional 35mm film
shooting.


You have a similar situation if you want to use 35mm motion picture film
with the Rollei TLR today. Some people cut this type of film from the
original reels and put it into 35mm cartridges for still photography. Kodak
Vision 3 motion picture films are one of the most used for the purpose,
they require the ECN-2 process, similar to C-41 but with an additional step
to remove the antihalation layer in the film. These are another two samples
