Does anyone have any experience of using a 2.8D?
Yes, I own one. The EVS system can be disengaged by moving a small wheel on the shutter speed wheel. Once turned off, it stays off unless you turn it back on. Otherwise, the 2.8D is probably similar in most respects to the 2.8C with the exception that it has the five- bladed diaphragm, instead of the more complex one on certain models of the 2.8C. Unlike the later models, the hood is non-removable, there is no meter, and it doesn't have that funky DOF meter like the F. It's a simple camera and very nice to use if you like to use a handheld meter. If that matches your shooting style I highly recommend this model.
