The Rodgers transmits on CH 1,2 and so on when you select MIDI pistons on the organ. But it also all the time transmits keying info on 12, 13 and 14...at least. This works well with the PR-3oo, whi8ch is programmed to acept and understand that (it auto sets x11 and above to EXT so it does not play MIDI voices on those channels) but other MIDI devices do not offer this option. For that reason, in the MIDI window on the ROdgers Organ you may turn MASTER CHANNELS OFF...that turn ons the transmit which is playing the piano incessantly off. Look for MIDI MASTER in the Insignia window to do the same thing, If you are playing a Global Series 500 without a window, simple instructions in the manual give you another way to do it. Now, anyone have a 441 manual that can tell us how to do it on that organ? Once again the symptom is when you plug a MIDI module in other than a PR-300, and you get piano playing all the time in adition to your choice of midi voice. -- noel jones, aago athens, tennessee, usa ------------------------------- frog music press rodgers organ users group www.frogmusic.com ! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Find new MIDI music and Guides to Rodgers Organs at www.frogmusic.com To post send messages to: rodgersorgan@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe or change mail delivery (digest, vacation) go to www.frogmusic.com/rodgersmem.html
