To clarify, that's $10 of the $20 entry fee will go for prize money and on site 'camping' is allowed. They are building a new Holiday in in California City about twenty miles away and there are many other places to stay in Mojave. We are still working on the details. We are also planning a sort of 'competition' at FAR for a weekend in September (?) for those that are unable to attend BALLS for whatever reason. It looks to be along the lines of closest to reach 50,000' without going over the waiver, either experimental motors (solid, liquid, hybrid) or commercial and limited to the first 50 entrants (due to time constraint) and with 50% of the entry fee ($20) going to prize money and the rest as a donation to FAR. For those of you not familiar with 'FAR' here is the website: http://www.friendsofamateurrocketry.org/ We now have improved site facilities (bathrooms, showers, enclosed areas for prepping rockets and are in the building stage for additional launch pads. Went to the AHPRA site, and it's not listed. Who's planning on going, and do you have a project for the launch? Richard Dierking
