Here’s a link to a 2-pack at Home Depot:

I’ve just been carrying the smaller single use ones for awhile. I like the
kitchen type because it dispenses at lower velocity.
Also, very important!!! Know how to use an extinguisher before the fire. And,
don’t just throw up the hood on a car when the engine compartment is smoking.
You can go to YouTube and see what to do for a vehicle fire.
People are usually happy to give me money to replace the extinguishers I’ve
used btw and I don’t think it’s bad to ask. I’ve only had one person tell me
“just let it burn.”

In the video, the reporter says the cause of the fire is “under investigation”
but I doubt the final report will make headline news. We live in Santa Monica
and I wouldn’t have known about it if Lisa hadn’t been stuck on the 101 in Palo
Alto.
Could you send a link to the kind of fire extinguisher you keep in the car. Thx.

I’m glad no one was hurt of course. The report suggested that the ambulance
crew got the couple out of the RV “just in time.” Really? Looks like an
engine fire to me that eventually reached the cabin of the RV. Just the fact
that the people inside were not aware of the problem indicates the fire didn’t
start inside. Unless it was in a closed bathroom at the rear of the vehicle,
but I doubt it. Also, interesting where it stopped on the road.
Anyway, hopefully more people will carry fire extinguishers with them on trips.
I have two and have used them many times to help people with vehicle fires.

Note that the fire department was more concerned about the propane container
but the headline is about the rockets.<
