[roc-announce] ROCstock T-Shirts -- An apology and explanation

Everyone,
As those of you who were at ROCstock probably know by now, our T-Shirt
vendor was unable to accommodate our usual unreasonably-short deadline
and have our shirts ready by ROCstock. As it turns out, he was already
swamped with another order for 8000 shirts (yes, eight thousand!) from
another customer, and our much-smaller order had to take a back seat.
As a result, the ROC Board decided to give all of those who pre-ordered
their T-Shirts by the May 31 deadline a choice: If they ask, we will
pay to ship their shirt orders to them. Or, they can simply pick their
order up at the next ROC launch. We had a sheet at the Registration
table at ROCstock for people who pre-ordered shirts to indicate their
preference.
If you pre-ordered T-Shirts by May 31, and you want ROC to ship your
shirts to you, and you didn't already give us your address at ROCstock,
then please email your shipping address to me or one of the other Board
members, and we will take care of it.
On the other hand, if you would rather pick up your shirts at the July
launch (saving us the shipping costs), then you don't need to do
anything. We'll have your shirts there, and you can just come pick them
up at Registration.
We apologize again for the confusion, and for the delays.
