vi / nano / emacs / il_tuo_editor_preferito /etc/X11/xorg.conf
Cerchi la sezione relativa alla scheda video e sostituisci "nvidia" a
quello che hai nella opzione Driver
Per esempio se hai
Driver "nv"
metti
Driver "nvidia"
