Hello Friends and Colleagues -
During the past year, we have started to work with a new statewide
organization of progressive elected officials, called (appropriately) the
New York State Progressive Electeds Network (PEN). PEN is part of the
national organization Local Progress, a network of hundreds of local
elected officials from around the country committed to a strong economy,
equal justice, livable cities, and effective government. It is also
supported by our friends in the Working Families Party. You can find out

Just in our first year, we have been able to work with local officials from
across New York State and successfully advocated for the minimum wage
increase and paid family leave. Along the way, we have met our
counterparts in other cities and towns who are working hard to pass
progressive legislation, often filling voids left by State and federal
leaders. It's been great to learn about best practices that we can
replicate, take advantage of Local Progress' policy and technical
expertise, and have a greater impact at the State level than we would have
individually.
We would like to invite you to an informal reception to learn more about
PEN, featuring special guest and progressive Assemblymember Harry Bronson.
