About Dr. Saltman



Dr. Saltman is Associate Professor of Educational Policy Studies and Research
at DePaul University in Chicago. He has authored and edited

numerous books, including Education as Enforcement: The Militarization and
Corporatization of Schools; Schooling and the Politics of Disaster; The Rise and
Fall of the Edison Schools; The Edison Schools: Corporate Schooling and the
Assault on Public Education; Capitalizing on Disaster: Taking and Breaking
Public Schools. Recent journal articles include The Rise of Venture
Philanthropy and the Ongoing Neoliberal Assault on Public Education: The Eli
and Edythe Broad Foundation.
