There are plenty of proxies and other methods that one can use to hide
their web tracks.
Some for free, some paid.
To find out about them, Just do a search for
anonymous surfing

Use caution though, no doubt that such a web search will deploy and set
off extra beacons.

The thing is that this will track millions of people. Who has time
(police or otherwise) to keep up with it all? They're going to have to
want to find you and track you for a specific reason--they're not just
going to pull out Joe Jones out of the blue and track him and get some
kind of dirt on him. Most of us have nothing to hide, so why worry?

Doesn't this mean law enforcement could force Yahoo to tell them all the
sites your computer visits when you aren't on Yahoo just because you
have an account at Yahoo? I'm sure there are other ramifications I
can't even think of. can anyone else think of any? Any software out
there to stop web beacons and leave the less harmless cookies alone?
