Trojan impersonates Adobe update, targets XP machines Although some other PDF viewers are starting to become popular, most people still have Adobe Reader installed on their systems. Malware creators are taking advantage of this by putting out a nasty Trojan that masquerades as an Adobe update, with icons and other information that are identical to a real Adobe update. Those XP users who are tricked into installing it can find themselves in a world of trouble, as it can be used to steal account and password credentials or other information from the computer. It affects XP and earlier versions of Windows such as 98, ME, NT and 2000.
