Thanks for sharing this. I've been meaning to get this out but just haven't
had time when I think of it. Sorry for the delay.

This is what Jim Ellsworth posted and it worked great.
That is actually pretty common. I come across it a lot and here is how to turn
it off so it will not bother you again.

Alt+f to go to file
Up arrow to options and press enter
Press the letter until you find trust center Tab until you hear Microsoft trust
center, trust center settings and press enter.
Press the letter p for protected sview
Tab once and uncheck the box for enable protected view from the internet Tab
twice more and uncheck the box for enable protected view for Outlook
attachments Press enter right there, or tab to OK and press enter if you prefer
Tab once more to a second OK button and press enter and you are finally finished

Now you should never be bothered by protected Word documents again.

Thanks,
Jim Ellsworth

Plz send them to me also? However for those of us that get lost while making

Yes this would be great, as any other setup instruction for outlook or their
hotkeys. Smile.

The steps I sent will work for 2010. I think that's probably what you have.

Just a note, there is a way to go into your Outlook settings and have it not
protect attachments from individuals that you know and trust. If you want
those steps, let me know. It may take me a day or two to get them written up
and sent your way as it is really busy here right now.

Someone sent, at one time, the way to do this-which I have-but all my settings
in Word are as per the post; does the version of Word make a difference? I am
using MSWord 2010 with JAWS last build before JAWS 16.
