If she has some useable vision, Prizmo is a highly accurate OCR app, and I have
heard that it does a good job at retaining the formatting when you scan the
document.

Subject: [real-eyes] OCR apps for IOS

Hello all,
I'm looking for a good OCR app for IOS for a student. She is not visually
impaired so it doesn't have to be "blind friendly" in this case.  She has tried
Text Grabber and it usually works okay for her.  One problem is with bulleted
lists.  It doesn't keep formatting but runs them into one large paragraph.  Are
there any others that you all would recommend for accuracy?
