Hi Reg,
No, GMail did not get rid the Basic HTML. The basic html is still there on
GMail.

That is the site I used all the times. After I sign in, I scroll down a
little bit that is still located on the top of the screen. When I arrive
the basic html, I enter the basic html. My gmail webmail is accessible.
