I think the $300 is just for the Braille keyboard without a Braille display.
The $995 one has a 12-cell Braille display attached.

also i read handy tech's website while ago wow cost $995.95 for
braille pen p12-cell
$300 was other website very different. hmmmm
i'll ask my chief tech who are deafblind name Bapin see if he use one
or not i'm going to email him now
