John......I apologize if I met you at the last meeting. There was so many
new people........I'm having a hard time putting faces and names together.
When we started back in 2008, the original four of us sprang for the
materials for four corners and eight straight modules. We divided them up
and basically decorated them on our own.
As members joined the group, they bear the cost of a module and its
decorations.
We build the modules together, according to the same specs so that they are
relatively interchangeable.
Many members do not have any modules. However, that doesn't mean that you
can't be part of setup and takedown. For instance, Ben and I each have 12
linear feet of decorations to put up and take down. Help is always
appreciated and necessary. We always need people to level the modules and
put the electrical connections together when we are setting up in the venue
for the first time. e need people to mount the plexiglass and put on the
curtains.
Do we want people with more modules? Certainly!. As you might surmise,
they have to be added in groups of two. This year's goal is the hinged
bridge module, which is a totally club owned module and Jack's mountain
module.
Here, we're up for anything anyone wants to build.
I believe the next things we have to do are:
1. Finish the bridge module
2. Build Jack's module
3. Ballast about 10 feet of yard modules
