Hi Rill,
I have found with the NLS player, if the stream is like that, it has
problems with too high of bit rate.
Perhaps try the same format at a lower bit rate.
HTH.

There are clever people on this list and perhaps you know the answer to
this.
I am taking a course on coursera.org. I am downloading the videos. They are
in mp4 format. I would like to convert them to ogg -- free software and all
that. I use ffmpeg to do this. The files convert just fine and I can play
them on both my laptop and the pi. However, when I copy these files to a
device which can play ogg files such as a Victor Reader Stream or Sansa
Clip Zip, they don't play. Victor Reader Stream says error.
When I did the same thing but made the files mp3, it plays on the Victor
Reader Stream.
Can anyone shed any light on this? I am using ffmpeg -i video.mp4 audio.ogg
or audio.mp3.
BTW, if any of you have already taken a course on coursera, I'd like to hear
about it. I'll know more after I have submitted my first assignment and
given peer feedback. This is a whole new experience for me. I went to school
with reel to reel tape and card catalogs.
Rill
