I guess I should double check my emails before sending :) typos galore in that one. Also, you will need to use mv RackTables-0.17.4 /var/www/html/racktables for it to be accessible via the web. And probably issue a # /etc/init.d/apache2 restart To restart apache after the updates. -Michael ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Michael Ellerbeck <mellerbeck@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, Aug 20, 2009 at 1:42 PM Subject: RackTables Virtual Appliance To: racktables-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxx I was searching for a RackTables Virtual Appliance but couldn't find one so I made one based off of this LAMP virtual appliance http://virtualappliances.net/products/lamp.php I downloaded the VA and then imported it into our ESX server. Then I followed these instructions to install RackTables http://racktables.org/trac/wiki/RackTablesInstallHowto With a few changes, First installed wget using ap-get install wget then apt-get update then apt-get install php5-gd then to get the most current version wget http://racktables.org/files/RackTables-0.17.4.tar.gz Then I pretty much followed the RackTablesInstallHowTo (I'm a linux noob so forgive any errors) I contacted virtualappliances.net to see if they would host the RackTables appliance but haven't heard back from them yet. I also asked at rackTables to see if they were interested. Is anyone interested in this sort of thing? If someone was interested\new how and rPath appliance might be cool for someone to do? http://wiki.rpath.com/wiki/Virtual_Appliances#Downloads_from_rBuilder_Online Thanks, Michael
