Hi Erik,
Just a few more cents worth. I have experimented with your idea and found
the feeling of the tilting seat base rather disconcerting as it gives a
feel of falling out on the road when you do a sharp turn. It also changes
the geometry because the pivot will be further back and actually the bike
becomes a rear wheel steering configuration which most have found counter
intuitive and considerably less stable. It is an excellent idea but seems
not to work in practice. However there was one rear steering trike I saw
on you tube that seemed to work fine......can't remeber the details
...sorry!
