My last trip was 30+ km mostly on gravel, but also a bit on normal roads. It went ok, but the gravel roads was very narrow (2 tracks from forrest vehicles with grass in between) so I fell a few times. The last drop was at 20km/h on asphalt, when I was trying to look back at the end of the bikepath, going on to the road. My confidence superseeded my abilities I guess ;-) As Murphy states, it happened in front of some spectators. I lost a little skin, but falling on a python isn't very scary - but the bike itself can make some damage. Some of the falls was due to my road-gears, others due to sand combined with narrow tires. My bike is ment for good surface, and that's fine. On a strip of abandoned road I could test the speed capabilities, and up to 30km/h was possible for Me before I gor too scared. The gyro force is definately kicking in then and helping stability. The bike is back at the workshop as the handlebars allmost broke off and the seat was banged up a bit in all the crashes. Any ideas for a easy foldable, crash resistable, light handlebar and a mount? Scooterbars might work..
