Hi Mike, Thanks for your feedback. I've seen this problem before but I don't know what it is. Something to do with the Microsoft installer system (which is a bit stupid, I suspect). To get around this, I have posted this file http://www.pythianproject.org/arena/auclient.zip which contains the Auto Update Client but without the installer. Just unzip the file wherever you like and run AuClient.exe I will try to remember to change the file in the Downloads area of our site to use this file instead of the one with the installer. Thanks, Darryl > -----Original Message----- > From: mike dude [mailto:riddlin_kid2003@xxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Tuesday, November 04, 2003 12:38 > To: pythian@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [pythian] Re: PROJECT - Internal Release 3.6 > > > Hey Darryl, > (and everyone else ;) ) > > Just downloaded the auto update client, and when I try to run > the setup.exe that came in ppsetup.zip, I get this error: > > Installshield > > 1155: File C:\MY DOCUMENTS\PPSETUP\INSTMSIA.EXE not > found > I've got a pretty fast DSL connection and I could probably > host a server on occassion, but since I doubt there'd be > people joining 24/7, I'd probably just set it up when someone > asks me to. > > Thanks, > Mike > > Darryl Long <dlong@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > would be really happy to beta > > test a release release version. > > Great!
