The difference is that the sulfiding from fixer complexes is
uncontrolled and may also result in bleaching of the image.

That's interesting! I wonder if that hasn't occurred to some degree.
It wasn't a real easy negative to print because of very uneven light
- which is also what made the image nice. Anyway, here's a link to a
pretty lousy scan. I'm not very good at making it look like the
print. When I'm working on it, in PS, it will look a bit dark. Then
when I post it, it looks faded out a bit. So, this is it:
