Hello Bob,
Is the "lamp black (carbon) that you are referring to commonly known as
"India Ink" or "Encre de Chine" ?
I sign on the print itself in the 1" margin that I leave at the bottom
below the image with a .5" margin all around the three other sides
between the edge of the image and the mat. I use "India Ink" with a
straight nib and holder.
