DEAR ADRIENNE, Adorama less expensive than B&H? This must be something new because my experience was that they were more expensive. Understood about the packing issue. CHEERS! BOB _____ From: pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pure-silver-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Adrienne Moumin Sent: Monday, January 10, 2011 11:51 AM To: Pure Silver Subject: [pure-silver] Photo Storage & Framing Suppliers I was always surprised those folk stayed in business, as they were on the expensive side. Why not give Adorama in NY a try? I used to use B&H, but found that their packing of fragile items left alot to be desired, and made more work for me with the return/exchange process. For the stuff I have needed to order lately, Adorama is less expensive, with quick shipping. I try not to order matboards to be shipped, the corners tend to get dented no matter how well packed. Maybe try to find a local framer who is sympathetic to artists & will give you a break on 30"x40" full-sheet or cut-down matboards? I also use this place for frame supplies, when I have something ready to frame. They are reasonably priced, and I also order the plexi & backing boards along w/the frame (all VERY well packed). And I see they also carry the storage boxes: http://www.framedestination.com/ Happy shopping! -Adrienne Moumin *************************************** B&W photographs and photo-collages: www.picturexhibit.com <http://www.picturexhibit.com/> Photos @ Saatchi Gallery: www.tinyurl.com/hw6r3 Handmade jewelry: www.droolerystore.com <http://www.droolerystore.com/> *************************************** __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 5774 (20110110) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com
