Thanks Marty!
I think the public library has a copy of the Graflex book from
the era. I had a 70s version of the Photo-Lab-Index kept
up to date for awhile. Your '48 edition is a world apart,
so much happened after the war to the early 70s.

The book *Graphic Graflex Photography *by Morgan and Lester has a lot
about illumination and the use of flashbulbs. My edition is the Tenth,
from January 1954, but other editions around that year are likely to have
similiar info. This was a very popular book, and should be easy to find.
My *Photo-Lab-Index*, by Henry Lester (8th ed., 1946) has a lot about
flashbulbs in the Illumination section. This may be more difficult to
find, but I would try googlebooks.com. which seems to have everything.
