It has been my experience, that for long term developer storage, glass
is better than plastic. If the chemicals are going to be stored in the
dark, like your darkroom, then the color is not important. What is
important, however, is that the chemistry to be stored for a long
time, have NO air in the bottle. Fill the long term storage quarts to
the brim before putting on the cap. The fourth quart won't fill to the
brim but that won't matter since that's what you will be using first.
