Phil,
PRS stands for Plextalk Recording Software. Essentially it is software that
comes with the PTR1 and PTR2 player/recorders which allows you to create DAISY
content on a PC.
It is only able to create audio only DAISY content but includes features like
text import to generate audio from a text file, audio import, CD burning and
so on.
The main benefit is that it is considerably quicker to edit a DAISY title once
it has been recorded than it would be on the PTR1 or PTR2. For people who have
enough sight to see the computer screen, it can be more intuitive also because
they can see the DAISY structure in a title more easily than on the hardware
devices.

Jeff,
Assuming that you have already installed the PRS software, you don't need to
search the CD. Just go to the Start Menu, then to Plextalk Recording
Software sub menu and then select the Help option there - this will load the
HTML help file/manual.
