I always planned to make attachment handling possible in pskmail, and the new release includes the capability. Attachment handling was added mainly to enable grib file requests for our yachting users. With client version 0.8.2 it is now possible to send the following: ~SEND To: query@xxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: grib send grib:10N,45N,80W,10W|2,2|24,48|WIND . . Within a few seconds an email document is available in your mailbox containing the grib file as attachment (in this case only 4.4 kB). When you read, or download, this email the client extracts the attached file and delivers it into the ~/.pskmail/downloads directory: -rw-r--r-- 1 rein rein 2550 2008-04-28 15:03 atlantic -rw-r--r-- 1 rein rein 4440 2008-04-29 09:16 grib20080429070300945.grb -rw-r--r-- 1 rein rein 3250 2008-04-28 15:08 highseas_uk -rw-r--r-- 1 rein rein 5776 2008-04-28 16:52 navtex-rostock -rw-r--r-- 1 rein rein 27397 2008-04-28 16:46 nordostsee -rw-r--r-- 1 rein rein 1936 2008-04-28 16:23 p150px-Tux.jpg -rw-r--r-- 1 rein rein 1017 2008-04-28 09:05 wx-dutch This new capability works for any type of attachment, but take care not to download a 1 MB picture :) BTW, the EU servers now carry the most interesting wx and navtex bulletins, you can get them via the files->Get BIN file menu... To use these nice features you have to update your client to version 0.8.2, and the servers need an update to version 0.7.1! Update is now very easy, just untar the archive somewhere, go into the new directory and do a 'sudo ./install'. No more hassle...
