[pskmail] Ping

Hi,
When in client pinging does it only ping in PSK500R or is there a way to try
to ping at a lower speed?
As I noticed so can a client not get a pingresponce if he has a bad
connection if he pings at a high speed.
SA2ATJ connects to my server but sometimes not until he comes down to Thor22
but he can never ping me.
Am a way out or are my thoughts right?
