Will try server 2.0.20 in week 20, also with the IC 7200, using it's built in sound and CAT interface. I'm on the boat now. Cold here!

Forgot to mention that you have to tell the modem that the server will
use soft PTT by setting PTT to hamlib. See screen pic.
PTT needs to be done in the server because of timing issues...

I use soft PTT on the IC7200.
The soft PTT is done by the server, not by the modem. You need to set
$PTTCOMMAND=1; in pskmailrc.pl
The audio output level is set with the `pavucontrol' widget. You will need to run that,
as the soundcard driver for the IC7200 has no level control for audio in.
I would use PSK250 on 80 and 40m. That can be decoded by most digital
modes software (some don't have the robust version).

Rein,
I can get it to run with the V2 modem to run per the instructions on the website. It does switch frequencies and receiving to a certain extent, but the problem involves transmits. It keys up the radio and the audio is low, despite changing the levels, but then constantly transmits as it moves over. I am a little confused with PTT set up for 7200, does it have to be VOX? Is this handled by pskmail_server? Using Java 7 (openjdk) something with Debian unstable (sid).... Its kind of a test to be using this version as fldigi seems to be act really strange when I use Ubuntu. Might switch back due to other things I might need to do on computer. Otherwise, a question for you and anyone else, what would be a recommended "compromise between speed/sensitivity mode to try getting some attention on 80m, 17m and now probably 40m?
Thanks.

Josh,
I've got the V2 modem running tests on PI4TUE, using an IC7200.
So far the tests are very encouraging, using pulse audio.
I will put a test package together with server 2.0.20 and the latest V2modem...

All,

For the North American servers on the wiki page, I decided to remove those that have not been heard in a year on the wiki. The list should be "fairly" accurate at the present time. There may be changes/additions, so, please feel free to do as the intent is to be open to all. I will just watch and add/revise based on what I am seeing..

Which is that, I have recently added KB1NCJ as a server and my understanding is operating on 30m. Not heard him yet, but apparently getting through KB2PNM periodically. W1PID from New Hampshire has been spotted a few times on 30m? running a client program and also "only" seems to be sproadically heard through KB2PNM. No copy here.... That seems "typical" from what is going on over here with 30m, with extremely "sproadic" and erratic conditions, but the antenna works beautifully without a tuner..

Anyway, I am still exploring 80m and 17m. Nothing on either bands previously except for QRM with other digital modes. Right now, on 3.592 for 80m and 17m is on 18.112. 40m is still on 7.106 with "some" copy from WB2LMV and 20m on 14.111. Trying out PSK125R to see if it will "attract" some attention and help copy me or other stations better.. Otherwise, does anyone have any suggestions on modes to broadcast to help out with this?

I would like to move to V2Modem and been attempting it, but having issues with IC-7200 here.
