Having seen your shiny new manual, I decided to try jPSKmail again.
Now running 2.0.24 Client as Administrator under Windows 8/64.
But I didn't get very far. I set up some User Data preferences
(callsign, etc), clicked on OK, then got the message:

From class: class.java.lang.NullPointerException
Error encountered when storing preferences!

Now what do I do?
Ditch configuration.xml and try again.
I get those when I use an old configuration.xml from the 1.5.x series
with version 2.
Some day I will even get the time to do something about it as it should
of course work better... :)
