Greetings,
I'm developing the today screen integration, nowadays. I have looked at other
RSS readers, how they do it.
Egress: cycling through items and sites, showing feed name and title of the news
PocketRSS: Something like Tree Control to display. Displaying feed and number
of
items - also expanding news titles in the feed
Illium NewsBreaker: Some sort of pop window.
I, personally, think that the way of Illium is the worst. The disadvantage of
cycling (egress) is some movement on todays screen - which may disturb.
The tree control is probably most convenient, but I don't think that displaying
titles of news is good idea. The disadvantage is, that tree control needs quite
lot of space (and lot of development).
Now you, as the subscribers of this list, can involve the developement of Today
screen integration.
I'm expecting your opinions. If you have the better solution, how to display
briefly feeds, I would be happy to hear it from you.
I dont want the Today plugin much complex, it should be the entrance to
pRSSreader, where the reading shoud be done. Please, respect this requirement
when suggesting the solution.
Looking forward for your ideas and/or your opinions.
