I conducted some research on the wiki topic.
I created a wiki on my webspace, and used it to
archive all the informations I gathered. Feel free to
play with it, it's meant to. Here's the link:

Synthesizing for the lazy, should we choose to host a
wiki our best picks would be PMwiki or PHPwiki.
Otherwise, the hosting services who impressed me most
are WikiCities and XWiki.
