In section 282, is the listing for "Bridge Guards"? If so, I'd interpret it to
mean "fight the guards as a single enemy", as is common in other books in the
series.

If there are instead multiple listed sets of statistics, then they have to be
fought sequentially.

Subject: [projectaon] question about combats with multiple enemies

Hi,

If I'm not mistaken, in FotW, every time there's a combat with many
enemies at once, it is specified that "you must fight them one at a
time" (e.g. sections 90, 131, 185, etc).

But then there's section 282, where this is not explicitly stated for
the combat with the Bridge Guards (it just says that "you must fight
them both to the death").

So is section 282 really an exception (i.e. the enemies must be dealt
with in alternation) or maybe an oversight?

(I'm currently plowing through the myriad of things and mechanisms
needed for my gamebook.js engine to implement a full version of FotW:
it should be ready soon hopefully.)

Thanks,

Christian
