Allow me to follow this up with a note that there is a free open
source software tool called Calibre that is both an ebook manager and
conversion tool. Being a recent Kindle owner, I've recently played
with the program and it does a fairly good job of
cataloging/organizing your ebooks and converting to whatever preferred
formats are needed by your devices. It will even automate the delivery
to your Kindle via the emailing through Amazon process. Note that it
only works with non-copy protected ebooks, but this covers the
standard epub and mobi formats. With this tool you should be able to
seamlessly convert any .mobi Project Aon books to Epub format, or
other formats as needed. I've heard that there are occasional issues
with fidelity of metadata upon conversion, but that's pretty rare.
