I’d forgotten that you’re not UK based so not familiar with local authority
organisation over here.
I think it may actually be worth dropping Ben a line and see what, if any,
wishes there are either expressed by Joe or by the family as it may be that
they have their own wishes. I only mention that as my family has the standard
practice whereby only immediate family are to gift flowers and extended
family/friends etc are to donate to a nominated charity so they may already
have somewhere they’d like funds donated to.

Thanks, James. Looking into it, it looks like Buckhurst hill County High School
has closed its doors. Is that right? If so, is there a local library in
Chingford that we could donate to instead? I'm not familiar with the library
culture in the UK, but in the US, communities usually have free lending
libraries. Is there something similar there?
