I found an inconsistency in Mydnight's Hero, if not exactly a problem.
Section 288, looting Sadanzo's inner sanctum: the (paper) text says, 'From
among the vast array of treasures hoarded here, there are only three items that
catch your eye: a Golden Hunting Horn, a Jewelled Tankard, and Sadanzo's Seal.
These three treasures are all Special Items. If you decide to take one (or
more) of them, you must carry them in your Backpack. You must discard a
Backpack Item in the favour if you already carry the maximum number possible.'
Here, the items are defined as Special Items (which take up a Backpack space),
clearly.
The corresponding PA version says: 'From among the vast array of treasures
hoarded here, there are only three items that catch your eye: a Golden Hunting
Horn, a Jewelled Tankard, and Sadanzo's Seal. If you decide to take any of
these three treasures, you must carry them in your Backpack.'
I'm guessing this is a deliberate change. But this change gives the impression
that the three objects are Backpack Items. And so this creates a small
inconsistency at Section 277: 'If you possess a Golden Hunting Horn, turn to
164. If you do not possess this Special Item, turn to 9.'
Perhaps a footnote at 288 to clarify that these are Special Items, which take
up a Backpack space? Or perhaps the text at 277 could be changed to, 'If you do
not possess this item, turn to 9'?
