hello laura,
I think the scheduler for some tasks is within the service, and not in sched tasks. They can hook to the windows scheduler somehow, I believe, though I'm not sure of the specifics.

Thanks,

My programs don't have bugs, they're called randomly added features.

Subject: scheduled tasks, backups, life and the universe

Ok, I'm narrowing this down, but I have questions about where windows
schedules backups to run. I looked in scheduled tasks and the only thing
registered there was to check for itunes updates. Nothing else, and I know
there are more things happening on this machine than that.
I went to system tools\backup but didn't want to run a backup at that point
so I just cancelled filling out the form.
I am also quite amazed that norton doesn't have any entries in scheduled
tasks.
As for the system, it is working now, except that jaws locks up when
returning from standby. In fact it always does, since I upgraded to the
latest working version.
Anyway, any suggestions welcome.
TIA and happy hacking.
