Laura: Edsharp is written in .net, including a ton of different libraries which I don't know what they are written in. In short though, because .net uses JIT, it will run on 32 or 64-bit systems. Only issue are the external libraries. With that said, I run it on 64-bit from time to time when the one I wrote lacks a feature I need, and it works well enough, minus some delays.

Thanx.

I recommend edSharp by Jamal Mazrui.
edSharp can easily be configured to announce indentation which is essential
when coding in python.
edSharp is a fully accessible text editor.

Subject: python, what editor to use?

Hello,

I have been looking at python and seen that the IDLE program appears pretty
much inaccessible.
Browsing through the python wiki page on editors I see there's quite a host
of them, and I sort of got lost.
Could someone point out a good editor for me? Currently I am debating
between Eclipse, notepad++ and conText, but if there's something better out
there for Windows, I would be happy to hear it.

Thanks,
Florian
