The only way to do it then is to go to the file menu of your editor and pick
*.* all files and type the path and name in.

I did that -- that's what I'm saying -- there was no "open with" selection
so I picked the edit option and it tried to run the file.

hit applications, then go down to edit. or just open it in notepad, ctro+o,
tab to file type and hit a for all files.
