Apatchi supports modules for active server pages, so called asp, but I mean that internet information server - iis is good for asp pages. I am using iis when want to test an asp code, and i'm satisfyed. with iis, you can create so called modules, for the most tasks, but you need VB to create it. You can set iis also as:mail, and ftp, and http servers, and you can use the iis and if you want to upload something on your own server, because it is not only intranet server. If you have public IP address, you can use your IP to configure your iis to be public.

I'll be coding in vs 2005. it is the thing I've got at the moment.
Or is 2008 accessible with ajws yet? I've not had the time to test it.
Also, is there a way to get apache to handle asp.net web services?

As for nuts and bolts of some Standard Asp.net controls I might be
able to help when you start coding, binding or other grunt work.
Will you be working in VS 2005 or Vs 2008?

Also, if you have a digital copy of your Textbook you might
ask permission to share it with one or two experienced blind professionals
on list, in private, so they can follow along if they want to mentor the
class with you and  help with specific accessibility work-arounds for the
assignments.
I'm not even sure if that has ever been done but it sounds
like the best way to get through a class so I'm just putting the idea out
there and will watch for guru's comments.
