Well, security comes down to "trust of the source". If people get sources and implement the security precautions GW Micro has put into place then there will not be an issue. Frankly, even a JAWS script could be written to format someone's hard drive if you wanted it to, so the same security risks apply.

Jeff, As one who came out of the old time hacker crowd named for a comic book I can say with certainty that these concerns are quite warranted. I'm notpublishing any techniques but, from what I know, the WE protection will keepthe amateurs and children out but not the real hardcore - a number of whom are blind and angry at the world. cdh -----Original Message----- From: programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jeff Bishop Sent: Wednesday, June 25, 2008 11:26 AM To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Window-Eyes public beta released with powerful scripting capability There are significant trust/security features built-in to Window-Eyes. Therefore, this issue of fear is very much unwarranted.
