Jared,

The code we are building will probably not be integrated into NetBeans
itself, it is an add-on module that hooks into NetBeans. With that said, it
all of our testing is done in 6.7.1 and it works fine in that environment. I
haven't tried it with grails, but it should work because the grails editors
run through the same API's as everything else.

When we release, the current plan is to do it in two forms. First, we are
going to allow folks to just grab the Sappy moduels and toss them into
NetBeans. Second, a number of folks have had major problems with the
NetBeans installer. As such, the current plan is to release a stand-alone
version of NetBeans with no installer, so these folks can use it as well.
This would have all of the accessibility tools integrated, which should be
helpful. Depending on luck, we may release a mac version before a PC
version.

And no matter how you grab it, we currently have it setup so that, if we fix
a bug, your version of NetBeans "should" automatically update to the new TTS
versions. And, you should be able to build new versions of Sappy inside of
Sappy, which should hopefully make it easier for the community to
contribute.

If we're lucky, we should have an alpha version available by March. That's
the goal at least.
