Programming Jobhearty congratulations ken, and good luck, Kentucky can isolate you if your not careful, but it can also be quite beautiful, I know, been there done that on both counts, but your job is in luvil (spelled how native Kentuckians say it), so you shouldn't have too much trouble with things, just watch out for rising rivers, eh? have a blast. inthane ----- Original Message ----- From: Ken Perry To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Wednesday, August 20, 2008 8:00 PM Subject: Programming Job I wanted to thank this list and who ever posted the job announcement. When I called the American Printing House about a job announcement that was posted on the Blind Programming list they were shocked that there even was a Blind Programming list let alone that their job posting had found its way to the list in 1 day of it being posted. After sending them my resume they interviewed me on the phone and hired me not long after that. I will be working on the Braille plus and the book port and some other things that I figure I would have to kill you all if you knew about them but the point is to say thanks to this as a resource. I know I some times help people from this list but its always good when the list helps back. I had posted here a while back that I was looking for a way to get back to the states and this list came through for me. Kentucky is the perfect fit for me and the job is exactly what I want to be doing not only that but they don't mind dogs, ferrets or the real danger my lovely Red head Canadian wife. I will be leaving BC in another week and should be at the job before the 15th of September. Hope to see you all around the conferences in the future. Ken
