Pear From Behind a Firewall?

Hi,
I got the PHP Extension Application Repository (PEAR) installed here, but I
am getting an error that says that it can't find any packages. Does anyone
know if I have to plug in proxy information somewhere to get Pear to
understand where to get the stuff? I know it's there.
