If you run it with the -nodesktop and -nojava options it works well with Jaws for windows when using the jaws cursor to read the output. This also turns off all the GUI features though such as graphically looking at matricies. Several years ago it was possible to configure Matlab to use the Java access bridge to get decent access to the GUI features. I haven't used matlab in 5 years though so don't know what the current status of this is. There should be accessibility information in the release notes or install guide though.
