Thanks for the stuff Jamal: I'll follow up on it. Also, I have been looking into various Website Building options. CMS, Drupal being the most promising in my opinion, seems like a decent enough platform since there are a growing number of blind users tweaking stuff and, Evert, working on the core enjine. I ruled out most other options except for a native VWD, ASP.net option. Thatis what I am most familiar with and there are a number of open source modules which can be plugged into a VWD type project to add features to a website. My only real concerns, and they won't be realized or unrealized, until I try out Drupal is the problem of third party module developers not being as experienced or professional as I would demand for one of myprojects. For example, many of the CMS Dynamic sites, both Drupal and othersincluding ASP CMS sites, are slow loading and have some usability issues making them less functional than a custom developed website with a custom SQL Server back end. That said, it seems that CMS is being used more and more so it is something that has potential and Drupal, with all the blindsupporters, seems to be the best one to jump on board with. So, thanks againand I will do some more reading and then get an account with perhaps your host provider or with someone elses who is using Drupal so we can share experiences and perhaps I can do a beginners tutorial from a blindperspective like the old VWD series in VB.net. Thanks again and you and yourfamily have a very happy and peaceful Holiday. The accessibility of a Drupal site mainly depends on what theme is used. There are themes that comply with Section 508 and/or W3C accessibility standards. Much learning material on Drupal is contained in the collection of text tutorials on content management systems available at http://EmpowermentZone.com/cms_doc.zip The list of accessibility resources below also includes a title from BookShare.org. I think Drupal is a technology worth supporting and using for accessibility, open source, and community reasons!
