CODING SSIS PACKAGES

Hello,
My job has dictated that I learn to create SSIS packages for MS SQL
server. I understand this is a very visually oriented process done
within Visual Studio. Does any body have any experience with using
Visual Studio for SSIS packages? If so how accessible is Visual Studio
with regards to creating SSIS packages? Can you provide any tips or
tricks for creating SSIS packages?
