As I think Rick has also mentioned before, there is no substitute for diving into a project of personal interest in order to learn a programming language. Sometimes, there is a temptation to keep reading, hoping that the language will sink in eventually. It does not work that way. Actually working with code illuminates concepts and subtleties that cannot be obtained through reading alone.

I went to the site and skimmed through it a little. Some of the articles and free book downloads are by authors I have heard of and even read but concerning other subjects in other websites. Other than that I have not used any of them since I work in Vb.net.Note that reading allot of disprat articles will help you learn termonology and concepts even if you never use the actual technicals of the article. I recommend all beginners read everything they can about as many subjects as they can but keep the article selection to the beginner level or overview level so as to help get the general idea of each new technical subject matter. I use to read a few articles every day just as a matter of learning - I just call this relaxation reading.
