I would be interested as well. I received the 310-025 certification from
Sun, but have not programmed outside of a classroom, nor have I ever used
net beans. Would love to give feedback though as java is still an interest
of mine.

Subject: An Open Skype call

Hello folks,

As many of you know, my research group here is working on integrating some
complex, but hopefully cool, tools for blind programmers into NetBeans. We
are very, very close to finishing an early alpha of our set of tools (we
suspect a few more months). I would like to propose an idea out to the
community and see what folks think.

I think my research group, including myself, could stand to benefit from a
skype meet and great, where a number of my students (grad and undergrad),
cower into my tiny office and we have a number of folks join us online for a
session on programming blind. I see this as a way of 1) getting more
involved involved in the community, and 2) getting some feedback on the
major issues.

I don't know how many people we can have on skype at a time, but is anyone
out there interested in participating? We're pretty much open to anyone at
the moment, beginning programmer or experienced. If people are ok with it,
maybe we could even record it and put it up somewhere.
